Seniors! Scholarships deadlines are quickly approaching. If you have not started working on them, now is the time! Finalized scholarship paper applications can be turned in to Jenny in the SSC




Creative Careers Expo(food included!!)

Event: Creative Careers Expo put on by Project Pathway (yes there will be food)


When: Friday, February 21, 2020


Time: 1 - 2:19 pm


Where: ILC


Who: all students- you must communicate with your 5th and 6th hour teachers.




Sign up in the front office or the Student Success Center office by Wednesday, the 19th.

Attn: Graduating Seniors---- Please, stop in the SSC by Friday, Feb. 21 to check that the spelling of your name is correct for your diploma.




There will be an open gym for all prospective JV softball players on Sunday, February 16 and Sunday, February 23 from 1:00-3:00 at the HS gym




South Haven High School will be hosting a Creative Careers Exposition.

This event will help students explore and meet a diverse range of industries. From public speaking and editing to the airline industry to hospitality, from archeology to zoology. The popular Binder Park Zoo will be bringing in live animals as well.



Not only is this event good for those students pursuing these career pathways, it is also for students who don't quite know what they want to do yet or are curiously seeking.



Attendance of up to 80 students, is based on students signing up in the front office, SSC office or with a club member. We'd like to have a count as early as Wednesday afternoon, to determine the amount of food.



Please sign up and make arrangements with your 5th and 6th hour teachers!

Exam Exemption

Start checking your attendance WEEKLY

Just a reminder for exam exemptions-


You can only change your attendance the week of the day you missed!!


If you have a unexcused you will not be able to exempt exams at the end of the year!




1 Tissue Box will take away a Tardy

Do you have a ton of tardies or that one annoying tardy you can't shake and can't exempt because of it?


We are offering a deal!!


If you bring in a box of tissues to the main office, we will take away one of your tardies.


You are only allowed to do this 2 times in a semester!


If you don't have a tardy at this time...you still can bring a box in to get rid of the tardy that may happen in the future.


If you can't tell....WE NEED TISSUES!!!





GSA Meetings



The GSA meets every Tuesday in the choir room beginning at 2:30pm.


This club is open to any student no matter how they identify, and seeks to build connections among peers whether they identify as LGBTQ+, or straight or cis.


If you have an open mind and want to make new friends, join us on Tuesdays!

Report Cards

All report cards have been sent out. If you do not receive one, by the end of this week, it is because your parent or guardian did not complete SHPS' annual mandatory re-registration at the beginning of the school year. Central Office sent out letters with directions on how to complete the re-registration through PowerSchool. Please, do so promptly.
