I hope this letter finds you well. The start of the 2025-2026 School Year is just around the corner and we wanted to give you some important information before your return.
As many of you know, Mr. Joe Allen has taken a job as the new superintendent of Covert Public Schools. We are currently in the process of finding a new head principal, and hope to have a replacement soon. In the meantime, I am serving as the interim principal. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Here are some important upcoming dates for South Haven High School Students:
**** New chromebook pick-up for all HS students will be Tuesday and Wednesday (8/19 & 8/20 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM), and from 4:30 - 6:00 PM during our open house. Pickups will take place in the foyer through the main high school entrance by the ram statue.
**** Open House for all students in grades 9-12 will run from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 21. Parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend.
**** Freshman Orientation will run from 3:30 - 4:30 PM on August 21 before the regular open house. This time block will give us some time to welcome our incoming freshman to the building before the other students arrive.
**** The first official day of school will be Monday, August 25. School will run on the same schedule as last year with doors opening at 7:15 AM and classes beginning at 7:30 AM. The school day ends at 2:19 PM, and drop-off and pick-up procedures have not changed from last year.
Student schedules are nearly finished. Hard copies will be available for students at the open house. Questions regarding classes and counselor appointments can be made by going to https://shpscounseling.weebly.com/

We will have a brief presentation in the auditorium for parents and then we will break off into classrooms for individual Coach/Parent meetings with the individual programs
